CABN Bursary Support for Designers and Makers to Attend Trade Fairs
Project Date: 1 January 2022 – 30 May 2022
In 2022 the CABN Bursary Scheme supported four makers with a £500.00 grant to support their attendance at national Trade Shows. We are delighted to share photographs of their work at various fairs around the UK + comments about how it impacted them:
- Emma Butler-Cole Aiken went to the International Year of Glass Garden – RHS Chelsea Flower Show
- Belinda Glennon took her work to Potfest Scotland in Perth
- Michael and Sue Hunter from Twist Glass Studio in Selkirk went to Scotland’s Trade Fair in Glasgow
- Rachel Meehan went to The British Craft Trade Fair in Harrogate
Yes I did achieve what I hoped for. The event was such an exciting and vibrant show to be part of. Thank you for providing this grant!
We did have a good start to the year in 2022, which was so important after the lock down. It [the grant] achieved everything we had hoped and beyond.
Highlights : great interaction with two of the show judges who run the marketing for the show. They provided me with some great input, leads and connections to help grow the business. I have remained in touch with them.
