Visual Artist and Craft Maker Awards 2021-22

CABN is delighted to announce a new round of Visual Artist and Craft Maker Awards (VACMA) for 2021 – 22 which are now open for applications in the Scottish Borders and Dumfries and Galloway.  VACMA 2021-22 is supported by Creative Scotland through funding from the National Lottery in partnership with Live Borders, Dumfries & Galloway Council, DG Unlimited and Upland.

The VACMA 2021-22 bursaries aim to support artists at all stages of their career to develop their creative practice.  This can include researching a new body of work, experimenting with new materials, attending courses , artistic mentoring, masterclasses and residencies , among other things.  Fixed bursaries of £500 and £750 are open for applications with the £500 bursary specifically for early-career artists.

The VACMA 2021-22 deadline for applications is Tuesday 26 October at 5pm with a further application deadline of Tuesday 1 February 2022 at 5pm.  Guidelines on how to apply and FAQ on the application process can be found HERE.

Please Note: this scheme has merged with our previous South of Scotland 2020-21 scheme in order to align with new national deadlines. The application process is unchanged, though please note a previous deadline we had promoted of 5th October is now changed to the 26th October.
