Writers from across the Scottish Borders are warmly invited to a relaxed, informal pre-festival gathering — an opportunity to meet fellow writers, share ideas, and build connections in a friendly, supportive setting. Writers at all stages of their journey are welcome.

We are delighted to welcome guest author Anna Fleming — writer, climber, artist and author of Time on Rock (Canongate).

Anna Fleming is a non-fiction writer based in Edinburgh. An active traveller and climber, she gathers stories of people, landscapes and nature from around the world. Her debut book, Time on Rock (2022), was shortlisted for the Wainwright Prize and the Boardman-Tasker Award. She completed her PhD at the University of Leeds, researching Wordsworth’s creativity and Cumbrian communities.

CABN Advocate Dr Kerri Andrews will also be present to chat through your ideas and questions over a light supper.
