Invitation to a Sharing of Practice

You’re warmly invited to join us for a one-hour sharing of movement, place, and process with artist Claire Pençak, who has been piloting a dance residency in a currently empty retail unit on Douglas Bridge, Galashiels, supported by CABN’s Small Grants Fund.

Working with the rhythms of the local environment—including the Gala Water and the pedestrian zone—Claire has been developing “meanwhile choreographies for meanwhile spaces”: an agile and responsive practice of somatic movement and choreographic scores.

This relaxed and informal sharing will include an installation-based performance and a conversation with the artist. Themes of bridging, connection, and flow—as felt in the body and the surrounding landscape—anchor this exploratory and site-responsive work.
