MANIFEST 2022
Wednesday 14 December, 2022
7.00pm -10.00pm
MacArts, Bridge St, Galashiels TD1 1SP

CABN cordially invites you to celebrate a creative year in the Scottish Borders!

The new CABN team are delighted to be hosting the ever popular MANIFEST event to round off the year for makers, producers and supporters of creativity and culture in the Scottish Borders.

MANIFEST is a great event for networking, catching up with other creatives and meeting new people. It is also an opportunity for you to meet the new CABN team and for us to showcase the wealth and diversity of work that has been developed during 2022. It is also a chance to feed into the new CABN Manifesto and bring an item along to the swap shop (see info below!)

During the evening, we will have two short musical sets from talented Borders musicians – Miwa Nagato Apthorp and duo Amber and Cameron.

Miwa Nagato-Apthorp is an artist, musician and silversmith from Hawick. Miwa will preview a new song she created during a residency with Alchemy Film & Arts this year, along with some beautiful cover songs.

Amber and Cameron are a musical duo from Galashiels – they have recently been taking part in Mac Arts Incubator Sessions – a Creative Scotland funded programme for young talented music makers.

We will also have the world premiere of Conversations with Ogham, a short experimental film produced at Ruberslaw Wild Woods by the Moving Image Makers Collective. The film was made collaboratively during a group filmmaking project, called Conversations with a Forest in late 2021.

The event takes place in the beautiful old church space at MacArts in Galashiels. The bar will be open from 7.00pm, and CABN will provide some free vegan and vegetarian nibbles. Dress Code: Dress Fancy or come as you are!
