CABN – Evolving the Model
CABN, in partnership with the Scottish Borders Cultural Forum invites you to join us as we develop a new model to support the creative sector in the Scottish Borders.
CABN is supported by Arts & Creativity at Live Borders and relies largely on external funding to deliver a programme. We will soon be coming to the end of our current Creative Scotland funded project phase ‘CABN EVOLVE’ which has enabled us to deliver events and support over the last few years.
As Live Borders reviews its priorities, we need to look at where CABN sits and how we can sustain the network and the unique support that CABN provides and are working to a deadline of 30th June for a preferred option for the delivery of CABN going forwards.
As part of the process of evolving the model of CABN, we will be hosting events and activities in partnership with the Scottish Borders Cultural Forum to enable dialogue and input from key stakeholders. This event on the 10th May ‘CABN – Evolving the Model’ is our first public event in this process and is open to everyone with an interest in shaping how CABN operates in the future.
The ‘CABN EVOLVE’ funding has also supported the commissioning of an independent evaluation of CABN. Consultant Ruth Stevenson recently completed this work, which includes responses from 150 people from the creative sector and various public agencies. The final evaluation report is now available to read here and we will be sharing key findings from the report at this public event. We know from the evaluation work and wider feedback from the sector that so much of CABN’s work is valued and impactful, and Ruth will be highlighting some suggested options of how this can be delivered in the future.
We welcome as many different voices as possible to input into this process, whether you have been directly supported by CABN or not. If you feel you can bring something to the discussion we welcome you to join us on the 10th May.
This event is available in person and online and will be facilitated by Grace Cardozo of Sleeping Giants.
We ask you to arrive at 11am for an 11.30am start. Many Thanks, Your CABN Team
